Well, this past week was the first of my liming. I can't report that I did anything better than washing some bikes and taking lots of naps. What I did discover was how great I feel when I eat McDougall style and rely less on the junk. When I did get too much oil that one night I felt really bad for a whole day. Once back to low oil I felt better. It obviously works. I was even inspired to get my McDougall cookbook out and plan to continue here at home.
As for racing, its not for me right now. I would rather cheer you over the finish line or support you with your food and exercise goals. I am simply impressed with your passion for racing and would like to be your biggest fan and since I quit my job, entry fees are not in my new budget. Maybe next year I will do some competitions. As for now I am trying to adjust to setting new goals. More exercise is in the future and VegiNoodle loves the pool so we swim laps at least every other evening. I can't figure it all out tonight, but I wanted to get started with the blog.
I think my first focus is on my food and cleaning that up. Tonight I dined on wholewheat angel hair pasta with garbanzos in a garlic, whitewine, and lemon juice sauce. No fat, low sodium, and fresh. Of course a salad with a sweet balsamic drizzle was on the side. Since I just returned home from my welcome summering trip there was not much in the house to eat. But this was fast, easy, and tastey. Tomorrow, I will shop for ingredients for some McDougall recipes.
I think I will do the McDougall Tacos again, I really enjoyed them and so did the family. Again, fresh, easy, and yummy.
Until tomorrow stay true to your goals!
